CS/SB 694: Caller ID Anti-spoofing Act [EPCC]

GENERAL BILL by Commerce ; Aronberg ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Lynn

Caller ID Anti-spoofing Act [EPCC]; Prohibits entering or causing to be entered false information into a telephone caller identification system with the intent to deceive, defraud, or mislead. Provides that a violation is an unlawful trade practice under specified provisions. Provides for enhancement of penalties when a violation is committed during the commission of a criminal offense or when a violation facilitates a criminal offense, etc.
