SB 7060: Money Services Businesses

PROPOSED BILL by Banking and Insurance

Money Services Businesses; Changes the name of money transmitters to money services businesses. Requires licensure rather than registration. Revises provisions relating to the powers of the Office of Financial Regulation and the Financial Services Commission (FSC). Revises provisions relating to examinations and investigations conducted by the office. Requires persons examined to pay the expenses of examination as set by rule of the FSC, etc.

Effective Date: 10/01/2008 except as otherwise provided
