GENERAL BILL by Healthcare Council ; Galvano ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Altman

Child Protection [SPCC]; Authorizes DCFS to adopt rules providing for locating & recovering missing children who are involved with DCFS; requires criminal history check of persons being considered for placement of child to include search of DCFS's automated abuse information system; revises provisions relating to reporting child abuse, abandonment, or neglect to central abuse hotline to allow for reports by fax or web-based report, etc.

Effective Date: 06/30/2008 except as otherwise provided
