SB 2412: Debt Settlement Services Act [CPSC]
GENERAL BILL by Bennett
Debt Settlement Services Act [CPSC]; Creates said act. Requires that a person be licensed if he or she intends to provide or offers to provide debt settlement services to a client who resides in this state. Provides for an application form and requires a fee and proof of an insurance policy or a surety bond. Requires the debt settlement advisor to provide certain documents to a prospective client before signing a debt settlement services agreement, etc.
