CS/SB 630: Local Taxes [EPSC]

GENERAL BILL by Community Affairs ; Bennett

Local Taxes [EPSC]; Limits the rate of impact fees on residential and nonresidential property. Authorizes counties to levy a surtax on certain documents that transfer real property or an interest in real property. Limits the rate of the surtax. Requires the grantor to pay the surtax. Provides that the surtax must be approved by an extraordinary vote of the governing body of the county or by a majority vote of the electors of the county, etc.
