GENERAL BILL by Governmental Oversight and Accountability ; Children, Families, and Elder Affairs ; Fasano
Area Agencies on Aging [SPSC]; Revises provisions relating to the Department of Elderly Affairs. Deletes references to the boards of area agencies on aging. Extends the period of designation as a lead agency. Designates area agencies on aging as nongovernmental not-for-profit corporations. Requires that each area agency on aging, rather than the department, develop request for proposals for a community care for the elderly lead agency, etc.
