SB 1602: Public K-12 School Siting [SPSC]
GENERAL BILL by Smith
Public K-12 School Siting [SPSC]; Prohibits a K-12 school from being moved into an existing structure on or adjacent to a known contaminated site. Requires that a district school board report the results of an environmental audit to the Department of Environmental Protection which confirms the presence of contaminants or pollution on or adjacent to the proposed K-12 school site at concentrations that pose a threat to human health or environment, etc.
