SB 918: Newborns/Screening [SPSC]

GENERAL BILL by Detert

Newborns/Screening [SPSC]; Authorizes the DOH to charge a fee for each live birth to cover the administrative costs incurred in providing for followup evaluation of abnormal screening results. Deletes a requirement that the DOH certify the annual costs of the newborn screening program in its legislative budget requests. Requires that the DOH be reimbursed by Medicaid for newborn screening tests and followup reevaluations, etc.
