SB 1444: Ad Valorem Tax Refunds
GENERAL BILL by Storms
Ad Valorem Tax Refunds; Requires a tax collector to automatically make a refund of an overpayment of taxes due to taxpayer error regardless of when the overpayment occurred. Deletes a requirement that a claim for a refund for an overpayment of ad valorem taxes by a taxpayer be made within a certain time. Limits the period during which a taxpayer may file an action to contest the denial of a refund of ad valorem taxes.
