SB 1476: Paternity of a Child
GENERAL BILL by Flores
Paternity of a Child; Requires that an unmarried biological father be individually notified of the filing of a dependency petition under certain circumstances. Provides that notice of the petition for dependency is not required if the unmarried biological father signs an affidavit of nonpaternity or consents to termination of his parental rights. Requires the notice to specifically warn the unmarried biological father that, if he fails to initiate specified activities, he will be precluded from contesting the petition for dependency, etc.
