SB 1856: Juvenile Justice

GENERAL BILL by Wise

Juvenile Justice; Provides for time and location of deposition. Specifies factors to be considered in allowing a deposition. Authorizes sanctions for disobedience of a subpoena. Requires the Department of Juvenile Justice to adopt rules governing the procedures that may be used to restrain a child upon his or her arrival at the courthouse, permitted use of a mechanical device, and the length of time a child may be placed in isolation. Provides that certain specified criteria be used when awarding community juvenile justice partnership grants, etc.
