GENERAL BILL by Hill
Health Care; Creates the "Florida Hospital Patient Protection Act." Provides minimum staffing level requirements for the ratio of direct care registered nurses to patients in a health care facility. Requires that each facility implement a staffing plan. Prohibits a health care facility from assigning unlicensed personnel to perform functions or tasks that are performed by a licensed or registered nurse. Authorizes a direct care registered nurse to refuse to perform certain activities if he or she determines that it is not in the best interests of the patient, etc.
