PROPOSED BILL by Rules Subcommittee on Ethics and Elections
Elections; Specifies a time period to initiate an action to challenge an amendment to the State Constitution proposed by the Legislature. Requires the court, including an appellate court, to accord the case priority over other cases. Requires the Attorney General to revise a ballot title or ballot summary for an amendment proposed by the Legislature under certain circumstances. Requires the Department of State to furnish a designating number and the revised ballot title and substance to the supervisor of elections, etc.
