GENERAL BILL by Appropriations Committee ; Higher Education Appropriations Subcommittee ; O'Toole
Reemployment Services; Repeals provisions relating to Workers' Compensation Administration Trust Fund within DOE; terminates trust fund & transfers balance remaining in, & all revenues of, terminated fund; revises legislative intent to remove DOE's duty to administer Workers' Compensation Law; removes authorization of DFS to share confidential & exempt records, reports, or information with DOE; amends provisions relating to reemployment of injured workers & rehabilitation; authorizes DFS to contract with third parties to administer training & education screenings, reemployment assessments, vocational evaluations, & reemployment services; removes rulemaking authority of DOE with respect to Workers' Compensation Law. APPROPRIATION: $350,000
