SPB 7036: Administration of Property Taxes

PROPOSED BILL by Budget Subcommittee on Finance and Tax

Administration of Property Taxes; Providing that a taxpayer has a right to have a hearing before the value adjustment board rescheduled if the hearing is not commenced within a certain period after the scheduled time; revising the information that must be included on a real property assessment roll relating to the transfer of ownership of property; deleting a requirement to include information relating to a fiduciary on a real property assessment roll; providing for the apportionment of increases in the value of combined and divided parcels of nonhomestead residential property; deleting provisions requiring that the tax collector report amounts of deferred tax liability to the Department of Revenue, etc.

Effective Date: except as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect upon becoming a law
