CS/CS/SB 1050: Water and Wastewater Utility Systems

GENERAL BILL by Environmental Preservation and Conservation ; Communications, Energy, and Public Utilities ; Hays

Water and Wastewater Utility Systems; Requiring the Division of Bond Finance of the State Board of Administration to review the allocation of private activity bonds to determine the availability of additional allocation or reallocation of bonds for water facilities or sewage facilities; exempting from regulation by the Florida Public Service Commission a person who resells water service to certain tenants or residents up to a specified cost; establishing a procedure to follow if the commission determines that a utility has failed to provide water and wastewater services that meet certain standards; providing for recovery of costs prudently incurred by a utility to address certain findings of the commission or the Department of Environmental Protection, etc.
