Notaries Public; Requires notary public to record certain information in specified journal when performing certain notarial acts; requires that notary public retain notarial journal for specified period; requires notary public to notify DOS if notarial journal is lost, stolen, misplaced, destroyed, or rendered unusable during retention period; requires notary public to keep notarial journal in specified area; provides that failure to comply with notarial journal requirements constitutes grounds for suspension, nonrenewal, or denial of notary public commission; specifies that provisions of act do not apply to provision authorizing certain law enforcement & correctional officers to administer oaths.
