GENERAL BILL by Government Operations Subcommittee ; Civil Justice Subcommittee ; Williams ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Baxley ; Campbell ; McGhee

Council on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys; Provides criteria for removal of member of council; revises duties of council; authorizes council to identify specified initiatives & programs, study other topics suggested by Legislature or as directed by chair of council, and, subject to legislative appropriations, use funds appropriated to DLA to perform certain tasks; authorizes council to present its findings & strategic issues at annual statewide conference; provides for reimbursement for per diem & travel expenses for individuals & entities that make presentations to council regarding mission or strategic vision of council; repeals provisions relating to requirement that department establish direct-support organization.
