GENERAL BILL by Civil Justice Subcommittee ; Spano
Family Law; Designates act as "Collaborative Law Process Act"; provides that collaborative law process commences when parties enter into collaborative law participation agreement; prohibits tribunal from ordering party to participate in collaborative law process over party's objection; provides conditions under which collaborative law process concludes, terminates, or continues; provides for confidentiality of communications made during collaborative law process; provides exceptions; provides that specified provisions do not take effect until 30 days after Florida Supreme Court adopts rules of procedure & professional responsibility.
