SB 654: State Ombudsman Program

GENERAL BILL by Richter

State Ombudsman Program; Deleting references to ombudsman councils and transferring their responsibilities to representatives of the Office of State Long-Term Care Ombudsman; providing conditions under which a representative of the office could be found to have a conflict of interest; requiring the Department of Elderly Affairs, in consultation with the state ombudsman, to define by rule what constitutes a conflict of interest; requiring long-term care facilities to provide representatives of the office with access to facilities, residents, and records for certain purposes, etc.
