CS/HB 1017: Reemployment Assistance Fraud

GENERAL BILL by Economic Development and Tourism Subcommittee ; La Rosa ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Artiles ; Stevenson

Reemployment Assistance Fraud; Adds DEO as entity that may be issued reproductions from certain files or digital records for specified reasons; provides for disqualification from eligibility for reemployment benefits for specified period of time determined by number of incidents of false or fraudulent representation; extends such disqualification period if such representation is made in furtherance specified felony; expands definition of term "racketeering activity" to include knowingly making false statements or representations or knowingly failing to disclose material fact to obtain or increase benefits or other payments under ch. 443, F.S., & other specified laws.
