SB 1760: Health Care Facility Regulation

GENERAL BILL by Grimsley ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Campbell

Health Care Facility Regulation; Eliminating state licensure requirements for clinical laboratories; authorizing the Agency for Health Care Administration to adopt rules establishing criteria for alternate-site laboratory testing; requiring the manager of a hospital or ambulatory surgical center internal risk management program to demonstrate competence in certain administrative and health care service areas; repealing provisions relating to the purpose and establishment of the Health Care Risk Manager Advisory Council; repealing provisions relating to the Subscriber Assistance Program and Statewide Managed Care Ombudsman Committee; authorizing law enforcement personnel to conduct drug tests on certain inmates and releasees, etc.

Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect July 1, 2017
