CS/CS/SB 354: Government Accountability

GENERAL BILL by Appropriations ; Community Affairs ; Stargel

Government Accountability; Requiring, rather than authorizing, the Legislative Auditing Committee to schedule hearings concerning certain governmental entities for failure to comply with certain financial audit requirements; authorizing the Auditor General to conduct audits of tourist development councils and county tourism promotion agencies; revising the responsibilities of the Justice Administrative Commission, each state attorney, each public defender, the criminal conflict and civil regional counsel, the capital collateral regional counsel, and the Guardian Ad Litem Program, to include the establishment and maintenance of certain internal controls; authorizing the Chief Financial Officer to consult with certain stakeholders for input on the design and implementation of the Florida Open Financial Statement System, etc.
