Homestead Exemption for Disabled First Responders; Redefining the term “first responder,” for purposes of the tax exemption, to include law enforcement officers, correctional officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, or paramedics whose injuries are certified by their employing organizations to have been caused by service in the line of duty in New York City while responding to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, etc.
