GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Brandes
Searches of Cellular Phones and Other Electronic Devices; Expanding the grounds for issuance of a search warrant; providing that content held within a cellular phone, microphone-enabled household device, or portable electronic communication device may constitute evidence relevant to proving that a felony has been committed; authorizing specified persons to provide information, facilities, or technical assistance to a person authorized by law to intercept wire, oral, or electronic communications if the person has been provided with a search warrant; providing that a good faith reliance on a search warrant issued under certain provisions constitutes a complete defense against specified actions, etc.
