CS/SB 574: Conditional Aging Inmate Release
GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Brandes ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Perry ; Powell
Conditional Aging Inmate Release; Establishing the conditional aging inmate release program within the Department of Corrections; requiring that an inmate who meets certain criteria be considered for conditional aging inmate release; providing victim notification requirements under certain circumstances; providing that an inmate who is approved for conditional aging inmate release must be released from the department’s custody within a reasonable amount of time; prohibiting an aging releasee or his or her community-based housing from being counted in the prison system population and the prison capacity figures, respectively, etc.
