GENERAL BILL by McCurdy ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Hinson ; Valdés

School Resiliency Pilot Programs; Establishes Resilient Schools Pilot Program within DOE; provides directive to DOE for approving school districts for participation; requires DOE, with specified entities, to assist participating school districts & certain schools regarding renewable energy source devices, energy storage devices, & energy efficiency devices; authorizes certain schools & local government authorities to directly solicit bids from & contract directly with specified entities to acquire such devices & services; authorizes PSC to approve pilot programs proposed by electric utilities; prohibits PSC from approving certain pilot programs; authorizes certain schools & local government authorities to enter into contracts with third parties regarding such devices; specifies that certain financing arrangements & contracted third parties are not subject to regulation by PSC; requires DOE to provide specified report to Legislature.
