CS/HB 697: Victims of Crimes

GENERAL BILL by Judiciary Committee ; Burton ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Eskamani ; Grieco ; Mooney

Victims of Crimes; Provides, upon request, specified rights to crime victims at all stages of criminal or juvenile proceeding; requires law enforcement personnel to ensure that victims are given information about right to employ private counsel; encourages Florida Bar to develop registry of attorneys willing to serve as pro bono crime victim advocates.
