GENERAL BILL by Human Services Subcommittee ; Hunschofsky

Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders ; Requires DCF to require certain providers to use specified assessment tool; revises minimum standards for mobile crisis response service; requires facilities to update treatment plans within specified timeframes; revises requirements for discharge planning regarding medications; requires DCF, in consultation with DOE, to conduct review biennially of school-based behavioral health access through telehealth; provides requirements for review; requires Criminal Justice, Mental Health, & Substance Abuse Technical Assistance Center at Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute at University of South Florida to disseminate certain evidence-based practices & best practices among grantees; defines "person-first language"; requires DCF, in consultation with AHCA, to conduct review every other year to identify needs regarding short-term residential treatment facilities & beds; revises assistance & services Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute is required to provide; revises requirements of Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce to promote behavioral health professions; revises plan components for mental health assistance programs.
