GENERAL BILL by Collins
Elections of County Commissioners, District School Board Members, and District School Superintendents; Requiring county commissioners to be nominated and elected by qualified electors who reside in the same county commission district as the commissioner; revising the membership of district school boards; requiring members of the district school board to be elected by the qualified electors who reside in the same school district as the member; revising provisions relating to the election and term of office for district school superintendents, etc.
Effective Date: On the effective date of the amendment to the State Constitution proposed by SJR 1454, or a similar joint resolution having substantially the same specific intent and purpose, if such amendment to the State Constitution is approved at the next general election or at an earlier special election specifically authorized by law for that purpose
