HB 687: Driving and Boating Under the Influence

GENERAL BILL by Kendall

Driving and Boating Under the Influence; Prohibits person from driving or boating while under influence of any impairing substance; provides enhanced criminal penalty for vehicular homicide in certain circumstances; authorizes state attorneys to create driving under influence diversion or similar programs; provides requirements for such programs; provides that person who successfully completes such program is ineligible for participation in such program in future; prohibits court from suspending, deferring, or withholding adjudication of guilt or imposition of sentence for specified violation; provides penalties for specified violations of driving while license or driving privilege is canceled, suspended, or revoked or under suspension or revocation equivalent status.
