Public Records/Investigations by the Department of Legal Affairs; Providing an exemption from public records requirements for information relating to notifications of violations or investigations by the Department of Legal Affairs of certain companion chatbot violations; requiring certain information remain confidential and exempt upon the completion or cessation of an investigation; providing an exemption from public records requirements for information relating to notifications of violations or investigations by the department of certain bot-related consumer protection violations; providing for future legislative review and repeal of the exemption; providing a statement of public necessity, etc.

Effective Date: On the same date that SB 482 or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension thereof and becomes a law
