HB 765: Child Care and Early Learning Services
GENERAL BILL by McFarland
Child Care and Early Learning Services; Revises minimum standards for child care facility licensing; removes provisions that require large family child care homes to provide parents of enrolled children information relating to certain viruses & risks of leaving children in vehicles; prohibits residential property insurance policies from providing coverage for liability for claims arising out of, or in connection with, operations of large family child care homes; provides that insurers are under no obligation to defend against lawsuits covering such claims; prohibits insurers from denying, cancelling, & refusing to renew policy for residential property insurance on basis that policyholders or applicants operate large family child care homes; creates Florida Endowment for Early Learning within DOE direct-support organization; provides revenues for endowment fund; provides that funds from state sources are accounted separately from public & private sources; provides for distribution of moneys from endowment fund; requires annual reports & publications; provides for administration of Center for Early Childhood Professional Recognition.
