Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Conduct project coordination meeting with stakeholders (community, businesses, local officials, etc.) to review project objectives, schedule, available data, and communication strategies.

 

2. Data collection: Collect available maps and data necessary for the plan, including documentation of comprehensive plan and zoning designation, streets, sidewalks, parks, schools, vacant lots, utility lines, portable water lines, storm water facilities and signage.

 

3. Evaluation and Analysis: Review, evaluate, and analyze project data, information, and materials to identify opportunities and constraints and provide an assessment of community infrastructure.

 

4. Community Visioning Workshop: A public workshop in the community to present the evaluation and analysis findings, develop a community vision, identify, and prioritize community needs and resources.

 

5. Develop physical plan that addresses concurrency issues in the community, and conduct community workshop to review plan. Modify plan based on public input.

 

6. Develop economic plan that addresses productivity and revenue issues in the community, and conduct community workshop to review plan. Modify plan based on public input.

 

7. Develop social-human services plan that addresses social, educational, cultural, safety, and other human issues in the community, and conduct community workshop to review the plan. Modify plan based on public input.

 

8. Draft Community Plan: The plan will summarize the community's vision, identify community needs and resources, present action strategies for plan implementation.

 

9. Community Consensus Meeting: A public meeting to review the Draft Community Plan with community residents and achieve consensus for the Final Community Plan.

 

10. Final Community Plan: Draft final plan, summarize community's vision, identify community needs and resources, present action strategies for plan implementation.
