| Crisi Stabilization Units are already being over utilized as a result of there being no Medicaid inpatient capability in the southern part of District 8. Baker Acts are backed up in jails, as well as general hospitals. Now with the closing of G. Pierce Wood State Hospital, the need to expand Acute Care Services and Baker Act Facilities has become a critical necessity in order to meet the needs of Collier County. |
