| Project Description: |
| Students are suspended to this program and remain in the program's classroom on the school campus. Program services include groups on substance abuse and crime prevention, conflict resolution, anger management, problem solving and coping skills. It involves teaching appropriate social skills, drug and alcohol education and prevention and tutoring to help improve student's academic performance. Families are given an opportunity to participate in a Family Strengthening program. |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| Reduction in the rates of juvenile crime, disciplinary referrals, out-of-school suspensions and increased knowledge of substance abuse among program youth.The additional monies this year are to expand the program to six (6) schools, thereby increasing the numbers for student support and help at a critical time. Keeping them in a program of support, academically and socially thereby continuing to decrease the deliquency problems for law enforcement and the juvenille court system. |
