This project will reduce polluting wastewater flows into the Indian River Lagoon & the St. Lucie Estuary. Elimination of a small package plant and associated percolation pond that currently operate in this area will reduce the threat of potential loadings to the surficial ground water in the area and the threat of contamination to public drinking wells.

Project Description:
This project includes abandoning the existing Lakewood Park Wastewater Treatment Facility and pumping existing wastewater flows to a regional treatment facility by means of a new six-inch force main, eliminating discharge to the Indian River Lagoon and St. Lucie Estuary.
