| Project Description: |
| The project will encompass extending the Mexico Beach Municipal Pier by an additional 500 feet and placing a 100 foot wide T at the end. This expansion will provide improved access to better recreatinal fishing grounds, an improved venue for hostin vital special events and a community gathering spot. |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| Once project is marketed, it is anticipated the that Mexico Beach's tourism industry will benefit by an estimated twenty percent increase in off-season occupancy and an estimated ten percent increase during season. Fiscally, this equated to an overall projected annual increase of $628,783.43 to accommodation businesses alone. Additionally it is anticipated that participation in certain special events, such as the thirty two year old mexico beach ling (fishing) tournament, can be expanded by as much as forty percent through the usage of this improved facility. |
