Project Description: |
The Village is seeking to expand treatment services for adolescent girls, ages 11-17, who have co-ocurring disorders(substance and mental health). Girls spend up to 6 months in residential treatment at The Village where they receive drug treatment, psychiatric services, family reunification and vocational and academic training. The University of Miami is a collaborator with the project, working with The Village in the National Institute on Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network. Research that comes from the Clinical Trials will add valuable information regarding "best practices" treatment and allow policy makers to administer more efficient and effective services. |
