| Project Description: |
| The Biomedical PhD Program at the University of Miami School of Medicine provides for doctoral level research training for Florida residents in six specific areas of biomedical science. This program makes available advanced training that is not otherwise available in South Florida. The region and the state benefit through the creation of a more favorable environment for economic development. Both pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies thrive best in environments where they can recruit from such advanced training programs. Further, the employees of such companies often seek additional research training which can be provided under the contract. |
