| JAC's are the central point for receiving and processing arrested juveniles. They represent an enormous opportunity to screen and assess arrested juveniles to determine the appropriate services and prevent re-arrest. They also allow the ability to capture specific information on this special population to identify various needs, appropriate services, gaps in services, funding needs through the collection and analysis of data. |

| Project Description: |
| Miami Dade County JAC is the largest facility of its kind in the state with the most comprehensive scope of agency participation and services. It is the only JAC in Florida that serves a complete juvenile arrest population, i.e. all law enforcement agencies (30 municipalities, 9 Miami Dade Districts and the Miami Dade County Public School System). |
