| This project will improve the stormwater drainage network for Park Boulevard (SR 694) to: reduce flooding; protect environmentally-sensitive bodies of water by filtering runoff pollutants; and protect public health by reducing contaminants in waterways used for recreation and reducing human exposure to standing floodwaters which contain bacteria and other poisonous contaminants. SR 694 is also a major evacuation route for the Gulf Beaches in one of the State's most vulnerable to the effects of hurricanes. |
