This project is meant to enhance the park system in the Town of Miami Lakes and provide a safe and fun recreational atmosphere for families throughout the community. Once the Aquatic Center is enhanced, the Town will be able to employ teachers for the community and provide instruction for aquatic activities such as canoeing and sailing. The Town is looking to not only engage families in recreation, but also to create an atmosphere for children to learn and grow.

Project Description:
The Town of Miami Lakes will enhance the existing facility at the canal and lake to properly house recreation equipment for the aquatic activities. These facility enhancements will also include bathroom remodeling, access ramps and put in locations at the lake. The next step will be to employ teachers for various programs that will be offered like canoeing, rowing and sailing. The Town will then offer these program to residents throughout the community based on age and skill level.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
: The most notable outcome will be that children and families will have access to a resource never provided to the community. They will have an opportunity to spend constructive time together exercising and learning a new skill. This program will also help increase the value of the park as the building constructed for this program will see a major improvement.
