Statewide Interest:
Over 70% of households inside Tallahassee's urban communities are headed by single parents. Affirming this reality is the fact that every elementary shcool within the urban core has over 90% of its students receiving free or reduced lunch which is factored by the Federal Poverty Index. The Bond Women's Health Center will serve as a health care haven for the women inside the urban core area that are uninsured, underserved, and low income single parents.

Project Description:
The Women's Health Care will deal with the complex issues facing women which include but not limited to prenatal care, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, breast examinations, breast and ovarian cancer, mental health, low birth weight, diet parenting skills, health maintenance information and fibroid tumors.
