Project Description: |
This comprehensive culturally specific program for substance abusing African American families involved in the foster care system plans to use the assets of the African American culture to provide integrated substance and child welfare services including:1)Intensive Home-based case management services 2)Extended Family Engagement (Natural Family Helpers) 3)Linkage with community churches for support/mentors, 4)Mobilization of the African American Community on behalf of the families through MADD DADS, 5)Use of Effective Black Parenting Curriculum, 6)Culturally specific Substance Abuse Treatment and aftercare groups. |
