| Avon Park Municipal Airport is an integral part of the Florida Aviation Strategic Plan (FASP) as well as an active participant in the Continuing Florida Aviation System Planning Process (CFASPP). In recognition of the airport's important contributions to the statewide aviation system, the airport has received extensive funding for airport improvement projects through the Florida Department of Transportation. Funding for flood mitigation has been requested through the Joint Automated Capital Improvement Program (JACIP) but may not be available for several years. The need for flood mitigation is immediate. |
