Project Description: |
Here's Help is licensed by DCF and has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation and Rehabilitation Facilities for the past 9 years. Just as the adoloscent substance abuse epidemic has evolved over the last several decades, so too, Here's Help has adapted it's treatment components to include innovative approaches that further facilities socialization, increase self-exprfession and self-esteem. In 2000, the agency launched its Alternative Theraoies Program encompassinf real life technology for music and the visual arts and has expanded the program to include computer literacy, language, and a dental clinic. The premise of the program was to incorporate a cutting-edge treatment modality, with the goal of imrpoving clinical outcomes. The funding of this project would allow Here's Help, Inc. to continue this innovative treatment approach and evaluate the effectiveness of the program ( by the U of M School of Medicine Center for Treatment Research on Adolescent Drug Abuse). |
