Project Description:
Jubilee Job-Link (JJL) is a full service employment resource and placement service provided for low and very low income individuals who are underemployed and chronically unemployed. JJL provides a personal connection between job seekers who lack the resources to find and keep permanent employment, and employers who need motivated, dependable and capable workers. The JJL staff works with individuals to enhance personal abilities and develop professional skills needed for employment. There is no charge for this service to either party; the only eligibility requirements are poverty and need. JJL has a retention component that includes, but is not limited to follow-up site visits, goals activities and other special events.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
At least 535 people annually will participate in the Networking/Problem Solving Seminar; at least 325 people annually participate in the Interview Seminar; at least 310 people annually participate in hte Job Survival Workshop. At least 65% of program graduates obtain a professional resume for employment search and there is a 78% placement rate and a 72% retention rate.
