Project Description:
GIS system to track flooding and pollution runoff in accordance with SFWMD.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Establishment of a Spatial information system for Okeechobee County that will assist with the formation of FEMA National Flood Insurance Maps, in addition to outlining drainage basins and highlighting flood prone areas within the City of Okeechobee and Okeechobee County. This project will facilitate the transfer and sharing of spatial data information between all local and state government entities operating within Okeechobee County. This project will also assist with urban stormwater management provisions of the Lake Okeechobee Protection Act (LOPA).
