Provides the ability for local public safety agencies to upgrade, or replace fixed end,portable and mobile radio communication equipment and put them in the position to achieve interoperability through APCO 25 compliant equipment with other public safety agencies throughout the state. The ability for public safety personnel to effectively communicate is critical for day-to-day operations and ensures the safety of the officer and citizens. Further, first responders statewide have stated that the ability to effectively
communicate with public safety first responders is one of their top priorities and a necessary tool to ensure effective statewide response related to public safety, natural disasters and domestic security events. |

Project Description: |
City of Hialeah public safety radio communication equipment has limited ability to communicate with state or other public safety agencies and personnel in times of statewide response efforts tied to a natural disaster, domestic security event, or multiagency
jurisdictional public safety effort. In order to ensure public safety, Florida's public safety personnel must have the ability to effectively communicate with one another to ensure the most effective response to public safety issues, natural disasters, and domestic security events. |
